I saw this movie last night...I didn't love it but I didn't hate it. It wasn't that bad and it had the typical Shyamalan twists. I thought it was ok and I'd watch it again. Like someone said if you go into it with an open mind it's not that disappointing. It's not a movie that's going to scare you to death though.

I have to disagree with LV but I thought UNBREAKABLE was his best so far
The ending in unbreakbale was just ridiculous.Comment

the end in Unbreakable was rather stupid.
i overheard some people in the bar yesterday saying how scary this movie was. they looked like LOTR nerds anyway, so i dont put much stock in their comments. i still want to see this movie. no mattter what you critics say.Comment

IMO 'Unbreakable' had a wonderful ending. Shyamalan is a very crafted writer who doesn't follow the tired cliches and patterns when telling his stories. You cannot expect the normal cut-and-dry good guy vs. bad guy when you buy a ticket...he's going to challenge you and I can appreciate that.A good shower head and my right hand - the two best lovers that I ever had.Comment

I havent seen it and if some of you continue to say that it was better than Signs, by no means would I consider the movie an improvement . If you look at the wider picture (refering to SIGNS), it was the most ridiculous movie made by someone who has the potential to put together 6th sense. (The WORST movie I have EVER seen is Silent Warnings - cheap low budget imitation of Signs)
Signs = shitty movie line with a couple of awesome actors and an AMAZINGLY CRAFTED Alien suit.
There is NOTHING in that movie that makes it remotely intellectually challenging. Just a couple of spooks at times.
If someone can honestly tell me that they found a story line to Signs (lest I have completely missed it in the couple of times I whizzed through it), I would really appreciate it.
So that said, anything else release by mr. knight would be better than Signs.
But all said, I still wanna watch it.

I enjoyed this movie for what it really was, a love story. I wouldn't say it was the best movie ever, or even what I expected, but I would see it again. You can pretty much see right through the whole "twist" and even the second "twist". Don't expect to be scared.
If you go into it with an open mind, like others have said, you may enjoy it. Ivy's actor was awesome, and she pulled off her role very well. What she was able to face, and more over defeat, for love gives you goose bumps, if only for a little while."The more corrupt the state, the more numerous the laws." - Tacitus (55-117 A.D.)

Originally posted by skahoundAgain I urge you and I hope I'm not giving anything away here...If you're going to this movie hoping to be scared shitless you're wasting your time. Go in to this movie with an open mind and be prepared for anything...except being scared in a way that all of us are accustomed. Don't get me wrong, this movie has genuinely frightening moments but it is not and I repeat NOT a horror film or scary movie of any type.I ain't no damn noobie. Bitch.Comment

review...
Ok so I finally saw this movie last night and expecting to see a pissed of "those who'm we are not allowed to speak of", I was beyond disappointed.... unless of course there is a damn good possibility I didn't understand a lot of movie considering the mrs. was asking me Q's every 2 seconds through the movie and I missed quite a bit of the conversation but I'm guessing the movie has been out long enough to discuss the plot ??
