    ^^^

I'm not really sure, I just knew for some reason. When whats his face was out galibanting around when he should have been indoors, and the "creature" walked onto the porch, I just got a sinking suspision. I also had the same suspision that Noah was psycho, so it all kind of came together. I have to admit I was a bit suprised when Ivy was wondering about and the "creature" showed up again. I still knew it was the retard.

I don't know, I just liked the movie. For some reason I just felt it was an excellent love story despite all of its flaws. And like I've said, Ivy was a great character and played to perfection by the actress. Such a powerful women to go through all of that, with her handicap nonetheless, all for her love. I know its cheesy, I'm just hopeless in that regard, even though I'm not really a believer in love such as that.

Re:: Movie Review - "The Village"

Noah WAS a pscyho, I didn't see a mystey behind that..... the one part that gave away the modern-day aspect was when Sigourney was using chrome plated scissor dips to clean towels for recovering sonny .....

more than the love-story aspect of it (which imo wasn't the main theme to the movie) the reason they moved into the forest was because all these people had lost someone extremely close to them in modern day life to gun shots / muggings / rapes etc. and so billionaire mr. walker buys a forest, gets a group of people willing to take part in this "real life experiment" by moving to a village in the middle of the forest and creating a horror story to keep people from running away from the jungle......

of course the time came when this chick HAD to go but the way it ended etc didn't fit into the entire movie scheme..... how he managed to squeeze love into a theme of moving back to your roots with a fictional ghost lurking the perimeter..... pretty shitty imo

I can honestly say I knew William Hurt's character had something to do with all that crazy shit when that creature came on to the porch and he was no where to be found.

While the the Village had a good theme made bad by the "others" in the forest.... imo signs was just utter gypsy circus nonsense of water fearing aliens.... get a life M Knight .....

Re:: Movie Review - "The Village"

i thought this movie would have been batter than it was... i just sat there at times hitting myself in the head at some of the stupidest parts imaginable... without trying to give it away... didnt anyone else think that the blind girl Ivy had no chance of making it?!?!?! i mean seriously, how is that believable... a half days journey in the woods, BLIND!!!... hmmmm... then to top off the fact that she was making this trip solo, Noah a borderline retard comes out of no where and escapes, with "the suit we keep hidden under the boards", i mean seriously that is dumb... the movie had serious potential if u ask me but all in all IT SUCKED! then the end was so stupid how they try and explain everything and why they were doing what they were doing... LAME movie... it got recommended to me to see it, and i recommend that you save your money... cheers
                      Enjoy

Have you ever met a blind person? Blind people, specifically, have some sort of 6th sense or so it seems. At the very least their other senses are hightened significantly to make up for the lost sense. Like I said, this is even more prominent in the Blind.

One of my good friend's parent's are both blind. I can recall times when I came over and they knew it was me just by the way I knocked, or they heard my car, tehre are just so many nuances taking place in sound, manner and everything else people don't realize.

Without sounding smug Platinum, I think its obvious you've never known a blind person. Especially in there youth, their capable of things you can only imagine. As someone who has known many, I can assure you that Ivy making it through the forest blind is very probable. And that dodge move too, very plausible.

i dont know any blind people... i agree that they do have some sort of sixth sense and can do extraordinary things that most regular people could not do... the thing is im not knocking blind peoples abilities at all...

but i truly believe that a blind person whoever wherever could not run through woods they have never been in, without a cane for most of the time and
                          1) come away without any scratches
                          2) trick a retarded goblin guy to fall into a hole she had previously fallen in
                          3) make a half days journey on pure instincts then make a half days journey back using the same instincts [people that can see prob would have gotten lost or at least lose direction]

i think blind people can do things i cant imagine them doing, but this was too much for me and i just dont agree.
                          Enjoy

what made this movie suck even more is that someone told me how it ended beforehand

It's not a great movie in suspense or credibility of the story.

It is a funny / interesting concept and way of looking at / thinking about society and how one can best organise it. But, to be honest, it's not well worked out and contains some big gaps.

If you're in to the first: DON'T GO TO THIS MOVIE
If you're in to the latter: MAYBE YOU SHOULD CHECK IT OUT
