FUCK THE UNIONS. USELESS, LAZY, GREEDY FUCKS.

go check out what just happened with the NYC labor unions(not the transit). they somehow got a union official elected to city assembly, and hey, whaddaya know, they have been raided by the FBI, Secret service, and IRS, and NYS dept of tax for multiple offenses including bid rigging, audit fraud, and more. estimated costs to NY taxpayers= well over 243 million and counting.

i could go on, but ill stop.

well I had to go to school today anyways for a meeting with my group to work on our assignment....and the picketers weren't bad at all....just walking infront of the entrance, so slow getting in but police are there to make sure they move.

Parking is free right now....saves me $5

Tonight at midnight is the deadline for both sides to reach an agreement or they walk.

Our teachers are fighting for better pay and less of a work load. The initial vote to strike was about 82% in favour of walking. If they walk it will go from anywhere from 1-3 weeks.

I have never been through a teachers strike and I have mixed feelings about it...I would love some more time off school to maybe relax and get some of my work completed, but when we come back the semester will stay the same just condensed,

Have any of you actually experienced a teachers strike while in college/university? What are your thoughts?

They actually walked away from the barganing table before the deadline....around 10:30pm. They are the furthest they have been from an agreement apparently.

Well we are still on strike....neither side has made any attempt to return to the bargaining table.

If it goes over 2wks they are saying we may loss the yr I really hope it doesn't come to that

get all the students together and file a class action lawsuit to get your tuitions back..

that'll really screw things up

apparently if we lose the yr we will get our tuition back....
