My line on this whole matter is really simple : are these cartoons funny (both the ones with Mohamad and now this one)? No. Are they offensive? Not to me personally, but I can see how they might offend some people.
But does that justify burning embassies and weeks and weeks of other types of violence and protest? No. No fuckin´ way. And that behaviour certainly does not fit my notion of "civilization". And it´s even worse when we just KNOW that this whole thing was mostly orchestrated.
Centuries ago, the Arabs were the most advanced civilization on earth...they dominated a good part of Europe (including my country), they were scientifically more advanced than any other civilization. But it seems to me that religion stopped all that, and they got stuck in time.
And more offensive than the content of the Jesus cartoon is the posting of it itself and the idiotic "point" it´s trying to make. I´m sick of this "see, it hurts you too when it´s the other way around, doesn´t it?" argument...it´s shallow and goes nowhere towards an intelligent analysis ot the situation. It´s like he´s calling everyone here a dumbass.
And please don´t equate me to an embassy burner. I don´t know about you, but I AM different from those numbskulls, muslims or not.
