        that's stupid.

they'll know your new name right away, because whoever wanted to target you either knows you personally, or all of your friends. they'll see you request a new friendship with them, or they'll find you on your friends' lists.

they probably got it from sitting at your computer. that, or you made it an easy password to guess.

what's stopping them from doing it again is you creating a new account with a new password... if you don't give it a new password you're an idiot. so assuming you're giving it a new password on your new account, just change the password on your current account. if they're smart enough to figure out your password no matter what you change it to, a new account won't prevent them from doing it.

well, the only computers i ever use it on are at my house...wait a minute.

i just thought of something...it may have been a "friend". I'll have to investigate. i did use it over at someone else's house...and the "remember me" may have been checked. they may have been drunk and fucking around. it's possible anyway.

i can't jump to conclusions, tho

no computers I use are anywhere near where someone would be able to use them, except what I said before. my passwords are not easy to guess.

                    Re: MySpace Fraud

if my suspicions are correct (and I'm not going to be sure they are or aren't for some time), then my bank accounts are not in jeopardy. anyway, i don't write stuff down, and i use different pws for that stuff.

in firefox when you type in a password it gives you the option of saving it so it pops up every time...i suspect that is the case and some second-degree "friends" were having some fun at my first-degree friend's house.

i'll be relieved if that is all it is...if not, then it's probably some marauding hackers. Maybe W's wiretaps are a good thing after all...i'll call up my buddies in intel and track down the MFs who did this.

still, i can't believe someone I know would do something so low. i mean, it's one thing to send me some shit, but somebody else?? i could get in trouble for that shit, you know?

For that reason, I always lock my screen when not near it. I hope you do find the person and set them straight or get them back.

how many of you use MySpace? I can't see myself getting to into it. It is amazing how many people post so much personal information about themselves to the entire world. Not sure why and hoping some one can explain.
