    Denon DNS3000 ??

    Hey guys,

I'm thinking about finally getting a set of decks (I should've done this 10 years ago ), I've come across a cheap deal in my email, but I don't know much about this model and can't find many review on it. Does anyone know much about this model (Denon DNS3000)?

I think I'm on to a good deal here - $AUS849 each when I buy two, that's marked down from $1495.00

Anyone got any comments on this? I don't want to hear the usual go buy CDJ1000's spiel.

These are my first decks and I have barely touched a turntable at all before, I aint forking out massive sums of money for Pioneers.

Anyone got any reviews on this they can link me to?

Thanks for any info in advance.

so get the 800s then... I got mine cheap, around 479 each, should be even cheaper now that the MK2s are out... Denons are fucking toys. Don't waste your time with them.

Really? What makes them so bad? The feature list sounded alright on those ones, is it just a lower build quality or am I missing something major here?

my friend has one so I had the opportunity to test it out... the feel of it is cheap, the platter is useless, the output quality of sound is horrendous... I was utterly unimpressed by it.

        but that's just my opinion...

I use the Denon's, nothing right now not even the almighty mk2's can throw a stone at them. Also the pitch bend on the 800's and 1000's is weaksauce.

I love the pitch bend on the Pioneers. It feels more intuitive than that of the Denons... at least to me, having it on the jog wheel itself is more functional than a button on the side.

The DNS3000 is an awful cd turntable!. I arranged a demo on a pair when they were released and i honestly thought ''what a heap of junk'' Personally i wouldnt go near a denon cd turntable, that just my opinion though. The Pio CDJ800 or even a CDJ200 would be the better choice.

what crucial features are missing between the cdj 1000 and the 800...I am also looking at picking up a pair, I am looking at these and at the technics version i like the fact that the technics has a vinyl sounding cue... i never really got the hang of the normal cdj soun especially on my stanton s550 cd player how about the numark?

The Technics are the worst out of the bunch mate, the vinly mode sounds distorted when scratching or queuing up. There is a Video on the internet showing this, i'll see i can find the link
Regarding the Pioneer CDJ 1000 and 800 there both great CD Decks, The 1000 offers 0.2 pitch adjust where the 800 only offers 0.5, other than that there both great turntables... Im upgrading my 1000 mk2's to mk'3 sometime this week.

What are the implications of this as a beginner? Sure it means mixing won't be as tight, but .5 pitch adjust should be enough for a total noob like me right?

You people can say what you want but at the end of the day the CDJ's are best. Buy whatever you want. I'm not into settling for second best though. Then you're never really happy.

if you want to take that tack then learn on what most clubs have, which are Pioneers (at least around here in the Northeast). if you're going to fork over a lot of money, make it last
