    Fabric and balance cd's

Hey all loving bothe series at the moment. i really think GU should look at these cd's and take stock. Anyway what fabric cd's do u guy's like. i am really digging the following
    Craig Richards fabric 1
Doc Martin i want to to people's thoughts on this.
    Swazak
H-Foundation Also would like to know pep's thoughts on this
    Michael Mayer
    Digweed
Slam only the first half though the second is a bit much for me

Balance Well i know everyone loves james holden's one but i do think Fortier's one is the best out of them all. Especially disk 2 & 3.
I really liked Papp's but i have lost interest in it a bit and don't listen to it as much.
    Desyn's one is also good.
So my top 3 in order would be 1) Fortier's 2) Holden 3) Desyn

What do u guy's and gals think??

For fabric: craig richards, michael mayer, ivan smagghe
For balance: 005 james holden, 008 desyn masiello, 007 chris fortier, but from the looks of it 009 is going to be top notch

I loved the Halo and Hipp-E Fabric... it was smooooooooth house all the way throughout the disc. Another good one is the Amalgamation of Soundz disc, utterly atmospheric and arranged beautifully, I suggest you check that one out.

Balance is okay. Not as good as Fabric. I will start to care about Balance discs when they pick someone like Cusick or van M to do one.

that h-foundation fabric used to be one of my absolute favorites. still love it, just haven't listened to it in ages. definitely a shame they went their separate ways, i was a big fan of their stuff together.

              diplo imo
Been listening to fabric 24 lately. Its just fucking crazy. I love it. Actually I enjoy them all just never right when they come out. Maybe I'm a late bloomer.
Fabric is really solid and fresh though in my opinion. Definitely not confined or constrained by any genres. Plus they throw in madness the likes of herbaliser and diplo to mix shit up and I dig that.

The balance series is pretty good. Nothing really astounding and fairly predictable although holdens and fortiers were pretty good. I'd look for mr.mojo to step it up and for balance to start opening up a bit.

                  Re: Fabric and balance cd's

fave fabrics are: craig richards (both), terry francis, radioactive man, michael mayer (probably my overall fave), adam beyer, & carl craig.

i think audion will be added to that list for sure.

only balance cd ive heard was the holden one, which was good, but the rest of the djs in the series arent really my thing. that being said, i will probably pre-order the paolo mojo one based on the tracklisting alone.

balance is still like a baby, it has a ways to go and mature before its up to fabric/g.u. status, if they keep having djs like paolo mojo and desyn masiello do mixes then they just might have what it takes to be the best.

What is the terry francis fabric like? There are a few tracks on there I really enjoyed (when I heard them in other sets) but I'm not really into the whole fabric sound so don't want to waste my money?

In terms of Balance - pappas is the best. It would be Holden's but disc 2 is garbage IMO, compared to disc 1 which is awesome

its pretty much what you'd expect from terry francis, awesome tech-house. i think its better than architecture 2, but not as good as the first architecture. great cd though.
