BIO:
Growing up in St. Petersburg, in the old Soviet Union, serge always had music infused into his daily life. His parents were deeply routed in the art community and enrolled serge in music education at a young age. Before coming to America, serge was classically trained in the violin for two years and in the piano for 8 years at the prestigious Music School of St. Petersburg. The dedication, hard work and commitment to higher standards serge learned while studying classical music in Russia that he brings to his Electronic and Dance productions here in the U.S. In this way, he holds a very significant advantage over other producers. He approaches his music as he would a classical piece. He understands the power that well-orchestrated music has on human emotion and this shows in his high energy, suspenseful style of electronica.
He was first moved by electronic dance music at the of 17 when Serge found himself in legendary new york clubs such as Palladium, Limelight and Twilo. He was immediately hooked and had to be a part of New York?s emerging progressive scene. At the age of 18 he received his first pair of turntables. Due to his musical background it wasn?t hard for Serge to master the art of Dj'ing. He started gaining underground respect and notoriety for his exciting, pulsating and hard-driving progressive sets. But it didn?t take long before Serge started to find spinning other peoples records a little boring. There was this creative energy within him that was simply not being satisfied playing pre-made music. So he began the next stage in his career, learning how to work with studio gear and producing.
From composing on the piano to composing in the studio, Serge progressed and his productions started to get recognition. It wasn't the simple productions that are so common from young producers. With a more instrumentally complex and complete sound Serge's style has been recognized by many accomplished and world-renowned DJ/Producers. Including Paul Oakenfold, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, John Creamer, Stephan K, to name a few. Serge's music has continually been featured in PVD's Fritz radio sets and Paul Oakenfold's Global Groove's radio show on over 30 major stations in the US.
Now residing in the US most of Serge's time is spent in the studio. His debut on the world-clubbing scene came with the signing of ?Hypnotized? featuring Sapir to Ministry of Sound US. Serge also collaborated with such known artists such as? Jan Johnston , that?s known to work with top producers like Bt, Tiesto and Paul van Dyk. Their first single together called ??Transparent? is out on Armada records. Huge artists like ?Tilt? & ?Lustral? trusted Serge?s cutting edge sound to remix their new singles, that are out on Lost Language records in the spring. Another single "Searching for answers" is released in 2005 on John Creamers in print "Magnetic records". Serge?s first EP is due for release in march of 2005 on Lost language records.
His talents as a DJ/Producer earned him a bi-monthly residence in clubs like Avalon and Godskitchen New York, and frequent appearances in clubs like Cro-Bar , Spirit .
