I am attending SAE for their Audio Technology/Sound Engineering course.. I currently live in Indianapolis and am attending the school in Nashville. I cant wait to get started and was wondering if anyone had some imput or feedback about the school. Class starts April, 3
The school in LA closed down and the other choices were Miami, NY, and Nashville. I chose Nashiville because there would be less "distractions" and I currently live in Indianapolis, IN which is only a 4 1/2 hour drive. I would get into to much trouble living in Miami or NY so i decided to take the safe route. Also, living expenses arnt as bad in Nashville.
My first choise was Full Sail but that course is $52,000 SAE's tuition just went up this year to $18,900 from $16,900 and that includes a Mac notebook w/ protools and other needed software and an IPod shuffle which is $2,400 of the total cost.
i have a friend that went to school in DC for Digidesign Pro Tools and is now certified and ended up doing some work with the Beastie Boys and then went out and did a big tour with Gillette...the shaving company. He was their dj. I'm assuming if you get certified in Pro Tools you'll have people banging down your door.
