    Release Records GOB Clearance Sale

    hot off the wire...

    just got this on the wire...

    Release Records is closing its doors on March 31st. We will no longer be selling vinyl online or through our physical shop.

    We will still be running our mp3 shop (& improving it) & continuing with our new mp3 promotional pool, www.releasepromo.com.

    We are also now having a massive online & in shop sale on all vinyl (except this & last weeks shipment) & on all cd compilations (note we will not hold local orders). All vinyl is being marked down to $5CAD & cd comps at $10CAD. This sale will only last until the end of the month so get in there quickly.

    We at Release Records would like to thank everyone who helped us along the way as we move onwards into the digital era.

    We had a blast! Thanks again...

          damn... is sad to hear this about this great record store, i think jerome made one of the most prestigious music stores around america, i hope they keep doing it at least on mp3 for a long time from now.

              ugh.....feel as if a part of me just flippin died. sign of the times i suppose and i wish jerome, mike, mitch, mv, simon and the rest of the crew the best of luck on the new site and venture.... long live release.

                  Aparently the last time vinyl is pressed is supposed to be in 09. I read an article about that a while ago. I think there was even a thread about it in here.

                  Sad day for us lovers of the black crack. I hope there digital companies do well for them. They always had the great new promos way ahead of others in America. Unless you wanted to buy from the UK and spend almost what you paid on vinyl for shipping.

                      Does that newly marked price only count towards purchases made in store? Or does it carry over to vinly purchased online awell? There are some wicked tunes i'd like to grab, and at that price, i'd be stupid not to.
