I gotta say something :

It?s about time we recognize what this thread is. Personally, as a person who dreams of one day going to Miami for the WMC to party like there will be no life left after it (my sister was there 3 years ago), this thread is the 2nd best thing, and probably the best thread I?ve ever seen on the net.

I have to thank eveybody who was there in Miami and posted on this thread, for making the whole MS community a part of the event. This is proof of what an online community can be, and MS in particular was more of a community than it ever has been throughout this thread. Fuckin?beautiful.

Everyone is included but of course I have to give special heartfelt thanks to Jibs, MJ and Pickle, there were times when I felt I was there with you guys, I think there were at least 2 or 3 nights when I actually got drunk here at home in a sort of "solidarity" with you guys. Believe me, I raised my glass in your honor a couple of times!

Tears come to my eyes thinking of the day I?ll finally share the crazyness with you guys, but in the meantime, on my behalf andm I believe, of the whole MercuryServer community, thank you for what you have done here.

my ingural trip to space was a fucking riot!!!! got there in line before it opened around 10 last night, and was one of the last people walking out this morning. sasha & john fucking killed it. the first hour of john in the main room put a little fright in me. i sent poto a text saying so. some nasty music..

then sasha cam on for an hour but it wasn't too enjoyable seeing how his ableton was being glitchy and causing very loud 'blips' every few minutes. he finished his hour and sasha's sound guy got up there and fixed whatever went wrong because i'll tell you fucker, the S&D machine was in fucll fucking force last night. jaw dropping music and mixes. thats the first time ive seen them do an extended set and i am truthful when i say i didnt miss any of it. except those two trips to the bathroom

when they finished the main room dave seaman stepped up and picked up properly where the boys left off. but by this time i was making my way to the terrace and holy shit am i glad i did. zabiela and nick warren we're fucking around for a few minutes then mr lee burridge stepped up. holy shit my first time seeing him and it was fucking awesome. lee was trippin balls. i'm not jokin. he was doing some wacky interaction with the crowd and his mouth wouldnt stop licking and biting. his eyes we're fuckin buggin too. but that music he was droppin was super sick. loved each moment of it.

after lee and his two hour acid/tech frenzy the pope was making his way to the booth. man i cant tell you how goddamn cool this was guys. john took over in proper form once again. this fucking guy is the MAN!!! diggers lays down the sickest godamn beats. thats it!!! he got about 1 hour in and sasha had his ableton and even a stool to conduct busniess on. well lets just say he got the bizzniss done too. these guys are not human when they do extended sets together. i'll be buzzin from this party and the solo diggers night last thursday, for months and months to come.

mikeman i cant tell you how fucking empty i felt when you left.
next time you need to stay as long as i do cos splitting up will never ever be allowed again.
i didnt get much of a break in between seeing you off in a cab til i was at the catalina listening to Pole Folder play. but thats another story....

Jet lagg is fucking awfull, I just woke and the time is 2.35 am.

Did I tell you about the time I disapeared down a whole? Fuck man, that hurt. I`d just got a round of drinks in after meeting Ska, Kim, and DG for the first time, we were sat at the open air bar around the back of our hotel, I got off my chair, placed my right foot on what I thought was going to be the ground and simply disapeared from everyones view.. just vanished! There was a tree that came up through the wood decking we were at but the whole it came thru was much bigger than the tree. I got a few little cuts but some massive bruising. I can see the funny side of it now but god it hurt.

The cab to the airport was awfull, lonely shit man. I don`t start bcak at work till Thursday so I could have cancelled my flight for another day and done the S&D thing with you guys but I needed to see my little Connor, I`ve missed him like fuck.

It just doesn't feel the same here in my home. I'm cooking dinner. I haven't even touched a microwave in over 10 days with the vacation. it's just not the same now. I'm bored. jibs & mj defo helped keep the action going around that place. imo the music at WMC is just a bonus for the real reason you're down there... just to get away and go absolutely fucking berserk with a bunch of kickass people. that's what a real vacation is about. I had a fucking blast meeting up and chilling with everyone, and I wish I could've spent as much time with the other 25 people as I did with jibs & mj. it's such a shame I only had a chance to hang out with some people for just an hour. must be why I took so many goddamned pictures of people this year. Last year I took more pictures of the scenery than anything and those pics don't come close to showing the vibe of what wmc was about.

good memories:

• anything involving mike and jibs
• watching mj run (stripping) into the ocean his first night at 11:58pm with his watch on
• going out to dinner with dreamgirlie an hour after she arrived and convincing her to play with my food
• stickering the fuck out of south beach with mercurysessions stickers
• watching an old man lean over a balcony for half an hour to watch two people fuck in a pool. (her legs were over his shoulders in the pool!)
• convincing (it wasn't hard) neoee to leave a party and his friends to take me to his hotel for an hour or two for free drinks
• watching two naked girls on the beach at sunrise convince a construction crew to get naked in the ocean with them
• everyone at the tampahousemusic party

there's gotta be so much more... but those are what come to mind. fun times

Has anyone ever heard of a band called Boom Boom Satellite? Jeez, we saw them live at the Beatport/Remix hotel/M3 Sessions. I`d never heard of them before but was blown away by how good they are. I even got talking to thier manager, I`m not sure that was a good thing though, I was a little mullered. Seriously though, if you havent already you should check them out.

I want to go back...but not even for the music. Out of the 4 parties I attended, only 1 was worth a damn. But spending time with you lot, trying to get MJ to put his fucking hair straightener down long enough to leave the hotel room, was more fun than I've had in years and years.

Let's aim to do the same shit, only longer (and without accidents), next year.

Saturday - 6 hours of Lee Burridge

The trip got progressively better the longer I was there.. I couldnt even imagine how bad ass the closing party at Space was.

Other memerable notes:

Hot ass women everywhere
Amazing weather
Movim day party with JT Donaldson, Qburns, Patrick Turner, Chuck Love, Etc.
Zabiela at National hotel
Mercuryserver Day party (It was good to meet some of the moderators, you guys are as crazy as i expected)

I will never miss another WMC again and I strongly suggest anyone who has not gone.. get there.

The anticlimax is shity, I`ve done Ibiza 7 times but I`ve had more fun in Miami than I have ever had there. It cost me probably over twice as much though, that place is so damn expensive.

Worth every penny though.

sasha & digweed at space with a special unannounced encore on the terrace until 12:15 Tuesday

i have seen these guys a boat load of times and after the yacht party i thought is was going to tough to top but the terrace set was fucking incredible. ill write more about it later when my brain recovers. off to hernan for the closing party.

jibbed was right next to us for the whole thing too.

ps MJ i was trying to get in touch with you because we had an extra ticket for the yacht party, next year bud! rickyfuller is stil retarded
