    James Holden - 31 Jul - Dublin

    What a night!

It was after 12 when we got into Club Nassau and the place was already jumpin'...

First time being to this club and they were celebrating their first year birthday. Tis a small club holds about 300 and no overcrowding. Very nice.

What an atmosphere! Made our way to the dancefloor and James was already spinning. Within 5 minutes I was dancing and did not stop for the night. An amazing build up of energy and the crowd responses to some of the bigger tunes was great and unusual from my past experience of clubbing in places like the Red Box. The crowd in Club Nassau were mostly here for the music and what a difference it makes! Also a nod to the sound system, lush and lound, made a big difference.

Holden did a splendid job and played some surprisingly heavy tracks, heavier than I'd expected. He definately has his own unique sound belnding from almost every dance genre combined with some adequate mixing and unbelievable programming. Some gigantic breakdowns that had me begging for the bass to kick in.

A great night, go see him if he's in you town.. Highly recommended...

Next up Danny Howells in Waterford!! Can you believe it!

No he was dressed normal... Although he does look a bit like a pixie... Theres not much of him in it... Was funny watching him check out the crowd reaction with one eye through his hair... Little pixie DJ...

Yeah I've heard a few people say his live sets are dodgy. I havn't heard that much from him live on this night and Live@nights.ro Party and so far so good

I caught his act @ 2am following Mazi and Tripwire @ Vision two weeks ago.

Quite a let down from Mazi and Tripwire.
