Umm... are you serious? Ok - maybe this will clear it up. I'm a producer, and a DJ, so I must now be able to handle more than one drum machine at once.
Tell me then, genius, what would be the easiest way to mix from one of your own tracks to another? Oh... right... two drum machines...
Richie seems to be the only DJ the YOU HAVE EVER HEARD of using a drum machine in a mix set. That doesn't mean that there arnt many, many more you havnt.

Also - some other benefits of using a 464 'just' for DJing...
Insert points on the main outs - used for vocal ducking in the radio station.
Separate feeds to a recorder - So you can record the same set, with, and without announcements.
