Re: Danny Howells at Arc in New York, on March 27th, 2004
Was going through one of the HD's the other night and found a bunch of Howells sets, this one is a corker, that Australia set around the same time is great too, will try to upload a few by Sunday.

Sven Vath was amazing...he played a god damn killer set...ended up going to that and came to at like 10 am in some whore house in south Amsterdam...no idea how I ended up there...friday was a bit of a blur got really drunk and visited several parties can't remember a whole lot to be honest hehe...saturday was probably the best day that I recall...started up in the nearest coffee shop and going from party to party...beautiful woman, beer and weed...finished the night by taking some shrooms and listening to an amazing elke kleijn set...sunday...i met a nice girl who worked at one of the coffee shops and ended up talking to her for like 6 hours...was supposed to meet her at some DnB party...but instead went for a steak and walked around red light district bars drinking and smoking...monday took it easy went to a coffee shop and took a taxi to airport....
All in all...I think I will be going back there some time soon

Let me get this straight.
So white-middle class Americans have been told by their Television sets to be fearful of:
1. Mexicans/Latinos from the South bringing drugs and killings n' shit.
2. African Americans cause mos def they are raging a race war and want to occupy America like how the plebs occupied Wall St.
3. Iranians/Afghans/Any one of middle eastern origin to be quite frank, cause you know Islam...
4. North Koreans/Chinese cause you know everything...

Yeah, I remember a lot us (ex)Twilo-heads found a new home at Arc...but even that came to a quick end.
I remember the many roadtrips I used to make back in the day from DC to NYC!
Nowadays I don't even know what the good places in NYC are. Pacha? I've been there on big nights and its aiight (every time I'm there I have flashbacks of Kractory hehe), but I've heard the crowd on a normal night is very hit or miss.
such a shame...this poor city has suffered from so many venue closures in the last few years...shelter is next on the list...like you said the only major club we have is pacha...i can't stand that place & it's because of the crowd...it's ok but only after 4am when the meatheads start to clear out & there's room to dance
this is new york fucking city..how the hell do we only have 1 mega club? yea yea i shouldn't complain as we have so much in the city to do anyway but i'm spoiled with the nightlife here & i want what we had 5 years ago..

t, you'll be living in South Beach in no time, WMC in your back yard, suntanned year round, plenty of great music all the time, no icy winters to contend with, etc. etc.
btw:
Todays weather 87 degrees w/ clear blue skies (postcard material)

Clear blue skies in London too - but it's about 45-50 degrees

could we start a Danny Howells Megathread/Archive thread? From reading this thread, it seems like there are a bunch of essential sets from Howells. Anyone up to the challenge?
This would be so huge! Get the mods on this, and see what the verdict is!
