pop-up help

Ok I need advice on pop-ups.

I had put in msn 8 beta and shortly after I started getting pop-ups....so I uninstalled it but now I am still getting IE type pop-ups (I use FFX).

I did an adware scan and it isn't finding anything.....any suggestions??

post an autoruns log so I can look at it.

Run it, wait for the Options menu to enable, go to Options, select Hide Signed Microsoft Entries, then go to your File menu and Refresh. Save the log and post it here with yousendit.

Mcafee works great

adaware.

and AOL checkup.

these three together have cleared up any problem i ever had. if i get a pop up or ad it only lasts a day until the programs run themselves

also. if you tend to leave your comp on at any point, say in the eveneing, or while at work, then set the programs to run about a half hour apart from each other daily or every other day.

Thanks for the advice guys....I think I have it sorted.....I went to mercuryengine and tried a few of the suggestions there....so far so good
