Calling DC ms'ers

Some friends are coming in town from Philly tonight and we are having dinner in Washington DC at www.limarestaurant.com

I was wondering what the boards' thoughts were on what to do afterwards.

Want more of a lounge than straight up club. Although a dancefloor would be nice as well.

Most places places in DC play a mix of hip-hop throughout the night which I don't really prefer. What can anyone suggest other than 18th St. Lounge (to chill) and Dragonfly for after dinner spots. Many thanx in advance for all your help.

Lima itself is a nice little spot, head down to the bottom floor there is a nice bar & a fantastic DJ booth they even have cryo down there George. the blue room in Adams morgan area isnt bad either. if you need your trance fix Armin van buuren is @ FUR. 1223 (name of bar) which is next door to dragonfly is decent but you need to head upstairs to the top floor to get away from the Hip hop shit that some people call music

good question, i am not sure of the answer. last time i was there was to see Jay Tripwire a few months back

i'm pretty sure it did close. funny, that night was the last time i was there too. tripwire bored me, but i like the space.

yeah i spoke to him a bit that night and he talked about how all they had was turn tables but most of his stuff was on CD so it was mostly older stuff that he had to play
