Re: cdj 800
went to the site (http://www.karaokedepot.com) and they have the cdj-1000 for a paltry $539.00 (refurbished) and a djm-600 for $599.00 (refurbished). I've never bought anything "refurbished" so keep us posted on it's condition, what it's boxed in, are the manuals included etc...."only dead fish swim with the stream..." Malcolm Muggeridge

Re: cdj 800
nice find!!
I've bought a lot of computer stuff refurbished, and never had any problems...if anything stuff like this just has some cosmetic blemishes on them, as the internal parts are checked for any major defects. Since these guys are an authorized Pioneer service center, warranties also apply on the sales.
I just bought an 800 MKII too because I couldn't afford any 1000's, much less hardly find any MK1's may have to re-sell it if these are fine in the refurbished dept.
Even in DC next Saturday, so *might* swing by the store if I can on the way home...FM

Re: cdj 800
to a point...played off of both but if you ever want to do 1000-style go 800's...basic playing 200's do the job just fine.
Checked the maps; this store is at best 30 minutes "out of my way" on the way home from DC (driving), so I'm heading there to (hopefully) buy a pair of 1000's...FM

refurbished doesnt neccesarily mean garbage.
