I can't fathom the attitude you take on this. Have you done this experiment? No, probably not. So how can you 'guarantee'? I'm not going to try to change your mind because frankly I don't give a shit, but if you're guaranteeing that the potheads and acid-eaters at a DMB concert have more goals and dreams than the kids at an Eminem concert than you're living in a dream world.

Exactly...just because someone listens to rap doesn't mean they are going to become a degenerate of society. People make their own choices and it has nothing to do with what they listen to. For example there are successful doctors and lawyers that on weekend still go out and party, get high, etc. They still made something of themselves even though they go to "raves" and there are people that grew up lower class listening to rap and in gangs who are members of political parties, lawyers, etc

Like I already said......people are the reason they are what they are, not the music

I used to live in the ghetto when i was in college akron ohio and really started gettin into rap....then i moved to florida and totaly changed and got into edm....

but wehn i was into rap master p was my favorite....he had the best beats imo...hellova producer as well.

ok ok, im going to come to sightless aid here for one second and mention that music is probobly one of the MOST influential aspects on society and people often get carried away with the lifestyle and image. look at miami and the superclubber boys and girls down there. image is everything and they are totally obnoxious, however in a different light then your hip hopper. look at the goth kids, music is a big factor in their motivations to dress like an idiot. i think all hes saying is that the lifestyle influences that go along with a certain genre makes it extremely unnappealing to someone who isn't into it.

check out common, mos def, dead prez, talib kwali, rappers that talk about the struggle black people went through and how we can help the black community, alot of it is positive and they lay it down with a sick flow..

I hate raps about bitches, hoes, money ect. The tracks that tell stories, in an intelligent way can be really great and powerful. Common's track about him and his girl deciding to abort their pregnancy. Deep shit. "Three Hundred and fifteen dollards was not worth your life"

Ok I give you that music is influential and that people will try to replicate the "image" by wearing the clothes, talking the talk etc. But if you guys can sit there and say that by listening to rap someone will all of a sudden go out and kill someone because "it's cool" you are full of it.....it has nothing to do with the rap....people make their own decisions. If that person decides to get so involved in the scene that kiling is now cool to them, that was their decision.

If someone listens to rap and how killing is cool, but then turns the radio off and carries about their day abiding by laws, it is also their decision

It is like stereo typing EDM....ok you listen to electronic music, so you do drugs. Wrong, that is someones choice to make.....not all of us that love the music do drugs.
