Born: Nov. 28, 1972, Kenetra, Morrocco
Hometown: Pensacola, Florida
Discography: Dec. 2000-Sound and Motion
Nov. 2004-Inertia
July 2005-Sunday Sessions (Vol. 1)
Hafid was first introduced to Electronic Dance music just over a decade ago at Pensacola's Bedlam. There he met local DJ's Albert Martinez, Jonathon Wells, and Dez Dawkins who became a very big influence on him beginning to spin records about a year later. "Dawkins was the first person to give me the chance to get on the turntables, I was hooked." Shortly after, Wells gave him his first break where he landed a residency at Bedlam which lead to playing out at other events. He continues to play at local venues and surrounding areas.
Some of Hafid's influences are Sasha, John Digweed, Chris Micali, Matthew Dekay, Kasey Taylor, Sander Klienenberg, Bart Van Wissen, Dousk, and up coming DJ's Christopher Lobsinger, Steve James, and Garrick Ulrich. Hafid's instinctive taste is based on deep progressive house with melodical elements. Hafid is focusing on playing more venue's and getting into the production side of things.
