DJing Thinking bout buying a cd decks

Hey all i was thinking of buying and getting into mp3 mixing. The reason for this is that vinyl is getting a bit expensive for me and it would be good if i could get used to using one as i have never used one before. I would still use vinyl but this would give me a bit more of an upper hand if i could use both i think.

Anyway does anyone on here have any cd decks. I am sure alot of u have. sowhat i would like to know which one do u guy's recommend. I don't want a top of the line expensive one just a avg to above avg in price. I was thinking of getting a denon one but my arm can easlily be twisted. Thanks in advance for any help

i really enjoy my CDJ-200's. they're about $385 a piece. They take elements from the more expensive 1000's and the 800's plus they have the zip, wah, and jet effects from the DJM-600 mixer. over all the best for the price imo.

I prefer the Pioneer cdj200 above the cdj800. It's more accurate and has some cool FX

cdj 200's are better than 800's and 1000's in some respects.
the loop is fucking magnificent. also the efx can be used during the loops so thats fun.

i've been pushing the 200's on people ever since i got mine. hambino got 2 upon my reccomendation and well, you see he's happy!

listen to the Jib and life will be swell.

                check:
                Denon DN-S1000 video

                decks.co.uk:
                - Pioneer CDJ200 - £355.00
                - Denon DN-S1000 - £319.00

denon is greater, better, sounds real good.
pioneer is to much expensive & sounds horrible.

i really dont understand how pioneer sounds horrible.
why does EVERY club in the world use them then?

I started a thread about the denon dns 5000's alpha track feature, but maybe i'll get more response here. Does anyone have experience mixing with the alpha track? It uses a little knob for the alpha track pitch, just wondered how smooth it is

Hmmm, what about this new toy from pioneer http://www.samash.com/catalog/showitem.asp?ItemID=21852 I just stumbled across it, not sure if it's really ideal for actual mixing or just people who want to mess around in their home. The description leaves many questions

SAMPLE - Denon CD + Ecler (with some effects)

do exactly the same sound (or better :P) on your pioneer cdj200.

Easy now Fangstick, before you go and step in shit! I have your back on this one Jib! First off a company (like Denon) can toss in all the bells and whistles they want but when it comes down to dependibility and sound quality, Pioneer raine supreme! All those bells and whistles don't mean shit if there broke! You probably would defend Behringer for there stuff to, Huh!
