congratulations on all those specs and stats fangstick, but honestly some pubic hair from a 12 year old boy is more interesting.

its all a matter of personal opinion.

    and denons SUCK!

PS the vbr encoding is very easy to get around. have you heard of sound forge? re-encoding is marvelous!

Re: Thinking bout buying a cd decks

CDJ 200's are dope! I might get a pair. Played with them at Guitar center and i LOVED them.

i have CDJ 800s and i am very fond of them as well. They do the trick for straight DJing. Im not a fan of EFX at all so that feature could go out the window. What i love about the 800's is the automatic loops.

every club i play at basically has the 1000's and of course they are the standard.

if you are on a budget, DEF. go for the 200's. If u can spring the extra 200 ea. go for the 800's or the 800 MKII that just came out so u can get used to the feel of the standard club CD players.

        cheers!

The Middle Path is the way to go... 800 MK1 or MK2, worth every penny IMO. My friend got a Denon CDJ and he is regretting ever doing so... it's a fucking fisher price toy that feels like a cheap hooker's tits.

i'm actually using a pair of american audio single cd decks...along with my 600, I've been pretty happy with them, and I bought each of them for around $90 each. Though I do want a CDJ-1000MK3 someday.

if you do actually want to play MP3's, for what you're looking for in price ranges, then it's probably Pioneer 200 or Denon 1000...

CDJ 200 or 800 MKII IMO

nothing else that I 'd need.

did the MKII finally hit yet?

MAP's at 699; DJ Deals has 'em for 599, and for even less take karaokedepot.com that I got from DJVeo and order a 1000 MKI for 539...(USD)..depends on where you live too I suppose.

I personally have the cjd-1000's and they are amazing... I havn't used any of the xtra features that come with them, SO-I must admit that I spent too much money on features I don't, and won't use... However, what was very important to me, was how similar to the vinyl "feel" and response. I read a few threads on this, and most people said they had a better response than the cdj-800's... I totally wish I had the opportunity to try both and see for myself before spending the extra loot, but nonetheless, I'm pleased.

As for all the looping, fx, etc, that some decks/mixers have: I simply don't want to mess up someone else's production work with an annoying flanger carrying on... Sure it can be fun tooling around with noises and making something repeat...but really, it's annoying to hear sometimes. Just an opinion....
