Whoops. I can totally see how this could happen, though. Someone in the office thinks that she'd catch it and find it funny, she doesn't, and it goes out before anyone realizes it. I sign stuff all day, every day -- I try to read through it all thoroughly before I sign it, but sometimes you're just too busy and you just skim stuff, trust that it is as you remember it, and rely upon your staff. It's dangerous, but it's reality...
I'm sure for people in Congress, who are signing lots of form letters to constituents, that's even more so the case...
