Re: Bush wants to lower Gas prices
^^yea, after they go up first...
Gas under $2/gallon may happen like one more time (MAYBE) but that's really it. It's never going down to those old $1/$1.50 prices that we as younger people/kids used to enjoy, unless some absolute, ridiculously huge amount is drilled for (Arctic) or found elsewhere and can be excavated reasonably...the Reserves won't be extraordinarily tapped, but may just need to be if people start getting too upset as the prices go up (short-term fix).
It continues to amaze me how shit can go up here and there and almost no one complains, yet the minute gas prices jump $.50 everyone's suddenly in an uproar (yes the media helps to fuel this, since it's about as easy of a story as possible to report on w/o hardly doing any real work), but still...
Even though it'll hit the shitter, right now US national average is at 2.92..expect that to hit probably around 3.15/3.20 during the summer at this rate, if it doesn't creep near that by Memorial Day Weekend next month when a ton of people hit the road and start traveling...which should by then make it a new all-time US high.
