Re:: John Marsh is the most boring DJ i ever heard
Listen to Craig Richards EM. What the hell is that?????
I would rather listen to Marsh than a bunch of bonks and bleeps and shitty bass lines.
Sausage fest music........guys are the only ones that seem to get. I would much rather spend my night at a deep house night where there are tons of women shaking it rather than chin strokers. Any prog night is better IMO too. Good music is good music.
90% of what Digweed is playing is that good ol prog.(listen to his Beirut set) A lot of you guys say prog is dead too.
Sasha is just trying to find himself and has lost the plot.
The reason Digweed has passed Sasha is because Digweed is consistent. His music selection is based on melody and good music...not on just trying too hard to be different.
Seems like you guys are trying to be different just for the sake of it. Maybe dye your hair blue or something so you can stand out a little more or pierce something.
to each his own buddy. i like digweed, and sasha, and craig richards. cant people like a little variety? is it required that a prog head cant ALSO be a tech-house or minimal fan? sasha put out a cd earlier this year that in my opinion rocks it harder than any cd diggers has put out on his own, even mmii, which is my all time fave diggers cd. notice the difference in quality between diggers GU's and sashas, for me, san fran and ibiza take the cake over any of the three digweed did. airdrawndagger and involver are superb.
and talking about clicks and beeps, sometimes simplicity is better for me. i can put on a matthew dear set and rock the fuck out for an hour, where sometimes i put a proggy set on and im just bored. its about exploring new sounds, its about what you like and not what other people want to listen to. please do yourself a favour and check out the first two tyrant releases if you havent. if your ass stops shaking throughout any of the 4 cds, i will apologize and bow down to prog as king of electronic music genres. just my opinion, and if everybody didnt have differences in taste, it would just not be interesting. some love zabiela, some cant stand his style. i think he rocks.
it shouldnt be about who is better, its a matter of who you like more, and that is all that is really important. i see where you are coming from, so dont think im disagreeing with you.
long live electronic music, in all its wonderful flavours except trance.
