Sigur Ros concert.

So im going to see Sigur Ros tomorrow night. just wondering about some things from people who have heard or went to see them recently in the US

do they have a opening band or something?
also, how long do they play for? 90mins? 2hrs?

curious. should be a great concert.

my buddy caught them at Coachella, said they were phenomenal. apparently, everyone became very calm and just watched and swayed with the music. very out-of-body sorta show (*cough*takeapsychedellic*cough*)

I saw them a couple of weeks ago and it was an incredible experience. They played for a bit over one and half hours and yeah they did have an opening band (who were also pretty cool). You'll have a great time, I guarantee it!

i went to see them in the Hammersmith Appollo in March. they sound better live, if you can believe that. and as a visual spectacle it is incredible. the amazing "smoke" screen with the silouhettes. you are in for an incredible trip. i think they lasted about 90 minutes. but when it was offer it seemed that time had flashed by. ultimately it was a spiritual experience. have fun.

i saw them twice this year, and am going to see them again in a few weeks. such a beautiful concert. some advice... only clap when you KNOW it is the end of a song... you will understand after the concert. have a blast, i know you will. awesome, awesome, awesome

yeah, great band to see and hear live. you may want to smoke out before. it'll put you in the mood.

oh, for the love of god, please don't do E. a buddy of mind did it at a sigor ros concert and was fucking nordictracking to the last song they played.

i think they played for 2 hours at Hammersmith.

I saw them open for bjork a few years ago. Fancy and Amazing.

amazing show imo, opening band consisted of 4 women (presumably icelandic) did violin and whole bunch of other instruments for about 40 minutes.

then sigur ros came on at 9:00pm and played for about 2 hours, great show.
highly recommend anyone to go see them asap

also, the venue didnt allow cameras or anything so no pics or vids, sorry jib!
