i think that u have to accept that some people are loured into the music scene thinking that they are going to have a steady income of cash and soon realise that the income from the music/cds blah blah blah isnt exactly what they had hoped it would be so have to turn to other sources of revenue so they can make a living, plus for some people the whole music "buzz" only last for a certain time then it dies then it grows again...nick warren is very like thisComment

^^whatever. Who gives a crap about the cash, it's about putting it out there and generating fans, and giving more to those who already appreciate what you do. Plus, if you put out a cd, then you can go on a cd tour and rake in the serious dough.
I know that Jimmy's got TCA to take care of, and partying takes up a lot of time, and he's rolling in it now, but really...I'd love to hear another album from him.Peace.Comment

I'm not that fussed about future mix cd's to be honest, as there are usually sets from my favourite guys in the promos section of this very site.
It is nice when one of my favourite dj's releases a CD, as you know it will be pre-programmed etc but it's not like the days of 1999 when I would eagerly wait for every GU/Renaissance CD on monday mornings!Comment

^^ ahhh, but isn't there somthing uniquely special about that? The anticipation of the album, the build up, the purchase, and then the tour. That's what got most of us started and hooked early on, no??
It's still great fun, speaking for myself here, getting psyched about my favorite dj/artist coming out with new material.
I always thought it'd be cool if Digweed followed MMII up with an MMIV or MMV. and made a series out of it..Peace.Comment

It WAS good having the anticipation - back then I would literally get to HMV at 9am to buy the new GU/Renaissance, sometimes they hadn't even put it on the shelf.
Now however I'm not as stoked - I still buy the CD's, but I will often shop around, order it online for the better price, and enjoy it when it arrives. the new mp3 age we are living in has meant that I will never run out of new sets to listen to.Comment

I know. It's not a matter of me being bummed out that I don't get to see these guys. I mean, we live in the center of the universe (nyc thank you), and we get everyone (well, almost everyone) and I'm grateful for that. I just love the CD's from these guys.
