downloaded sets skip a lot...??

i don't know how the kiss100 sets are obtained...are they just recorded off a stream, or are they downloaded by the mercury staff and then posted? anyway, i've noticed that the past few i've downloaded have a lot of pops recorded from dropouts in the stream. only happens with the more recent sets; old ones all fine. the pops are recorded into the audio. and it's not my hardware, trust me, i know.

just a heads up, i guess, to whoever gets the sets. maybe there's not enough bandwidth to get a good recording?

Bandwidth wouldnt affect the recording, it would just take longer to DL

i was more thinking that if the set was being recorded as it streamed in in real time, then, if the stream was choppy a little, it would show up in the recording. that what it sounds like to me, anyway. or, are the sets that are posted downloaded right from Digweed and friends, and there is no streaming involved?

Our recording source is DAB (Digital audio broadcast)..we do not use stream rips. I downloaded a stream rip of the Transitions show with Mojo as the guest (the April 23 show which did not air on Kiss100) but it sounded like puke dripping in a toilet so I deleted it straight away. I would not bother to listen to such a poor quality or offer rips in this quality as downloads.

I don't know where Skahound got the mixes from the last weeks as my private Internet connection was offline but normally I check every set we get and repair recording glitches, cut the commercials out and upload it. I also heard nobody complaining about glitches in the last mixes so maybe try to re-download the actual sets and see if it was a download problem.
