i quit getting high about a year ago. i didn't really give it up, i just didn't enjoy it anymore, i got too paranoid and anti social when i smoked.
actually, i smoke a bowl every few months if i'm drunk and it comes up, but then i just get dizzy as hell and pass out. hah
that's exactly what happened to me. started giving me an anxiety disorder and panic attacks so i quit. used to be a major pot head. now i smoke very rarely and i've found that after quitting and getting rid of my anxiety i can enjoy a good buzz every once in a while instead of feeling like a caged squirrel when i'm high.
So came back last night...
Sven Vath was amazing...he played a god damn killer set...ended up going to that and came to at like 10 am in some whore house in south Amsterdam...no idea how I ended up there...friday was a bit of a blur got really drunk and visited several parties can't remember a whole lot to be honest hehe...saturday was probably the best day that I recall...started up in the nearest coffee shop and going from party to party...beautiful woman, beer and weed...finished the night by taking some shrooms and listening to an amazing elke kleijn set...sunday...i met a nice girl who worked at one of the coffee shops and ended up talking to her for like 6 hours...was supposed to meet her at some DnB party...but instead went for a steak and walked around red light district bars drinking and smoking...monday took it easy went to a coffee shop and took a taxi to airport....
All in all...I think I will be going back there some time soon

Let me get this straight.
So white-middle class Americans have been told by their Television sets to be fearful of:
1. Mexicans/Latinos from the South bringing drugs and killings n' shit.
2. African Americans cause mos def they are raging a race war and want to occupy America like how the plebs occupied Wall St.
3. Iranians/Afghans/Any one of middle eastern origin to be quite frank, cause you know Islam...
4. North Koreans/Chinese cause you know everything...
Its been almost 2 years for me and I don't really miss it. I was a total pot head from age 15-25. Wake and bake before school, during school and as soon as I got out of class I was hitting the bong. Don't really miss it that much. I had to quit because of my job but oh well I could either smoke pot forever and make 40-50 grand or give it up like I did and 70+. Believe me if it wasn't for my job I'd be smoking rite now but you got to get your priorities in a row.
I use to smoke 'bout 1/2 or 3/4 oz a week, the last months i've cut down to about 1/8 on the weekends, i just wasn't feeling it anymore, just so whacked 24/7 it became normal for me. Have a couple of reefs before work, then when i got homne i just never smoked a cigg only blunts.
Today I've stopped smoking, 2 hours in and i'm doing ok.
Keep at it mate, try to distract yourself if you want a smoke, go do something and you'll forgwt the craving.
quit smoking for over 1 yr and will stop toking next month.
For you smoking quitters out there, keep it up. each day gets easier and easier. Its only the 1st 3 weeks that suck.
