just throwing my two cents in. i really have not caught on to this new minimal craze as of late. i just find it very boring and non-energetic. i realize that everyone has their own opinion. this is just mine. anyone else not feeling this stuff?

All in all...I think I will be going back there some time soonOriginally posted by IlluminateLet me get this straight.
So white-middle class Americans have been told by their Television sets to be fearful of:
1. Mexicans/Latinos from the South bringing drugs and killings n' shit.
2. African Americans cause mos def they are raging a race war and want to occupy America like how the plebs occupied Wall St.
3. Iranians/Afghans/Any one of middle eastern origin to be quite frank, cause you know Islam...
4. North Koreans/Chinese cause you know everything...

Re: Minimal House
completely depends on the environment. i enjoy it in an intimate venue (bar, lounge, outside in the daytime, etc), but the only time i've really enjoyed it in a larger venue was an opening set by loco dice.
as far as home listening, it doesn't really do much for me.Comment

Re: Minimal House
I think it really depends on what you get (as far as purchasing). I've come accross some min tech stuff that's really groovy or energetic. Also I think it depends on the year a certain minimal tech was released. Sounds tend to change as the years go by but keep the same "title" sort of speak.
Not sure if I made any sense but I really dig minimal tech stuff along with good deep house. You can blend both and ended with either prog or funky club house or darkish electro shit.
something like that.Comment

Re: Minimal House
I think minimal stuff sounds better over a system the louder and better the better, if that makes sense. And at night. Definitely doesn't work for me on headphones, it starts to bother me.
Check out Bill Patrick for some more minimal stuff. I like a lot of his mixes.Comment
