agreed. minimal house/tech relies on a big system in a way to bring the extra dynamic to the music. there are a lot of subtletees in the tracks that get lost on smaller systems. i also think there's a lot of creative production and innovation that keeps the music very exciting for me.

i listen to quite a bit of it but i,m finding that some dj's play better stuff than others, some of it seems to be bordering on just plain noise and beats with no real groove but some of it can be really technical with alot of groove and feel to it, i guess it just depends on your taste, i,ve always listened to techno aswell as house and i think its good that some techno dj's have switched to the newer minimal tech house scene as its kind of bringing the scenes a bit closer.

the vince watson mix posted on the promo's forum is quite cool minimal...lots of atmospheric pads and grooves

I am not a big fan of minimal myself, but I do like it and some other chill stuff as back ground music when I am studying or have ppl over

Like in every genre there's good and bad stuff. I've been listening to Plastikman and the like for a long time and they are very interesting. About the minimal house recent wave, I guess is not the kind of music that you would dance with, but the details in the sound make a nice home listen. Check Richie Hawtin's latest album in surround sound and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Personally I hate the shit and it is a rare day when I hear any that doesn't make me want to turn it off. All are welcomed to disagree, and then promptly fuck off.
