i remember reading on here that scumfrog (?) and some other people were going to play instruments and dj at WMC. like decks, guitar, real drums...

did it happen? did it suck?

Yeah, I thought that was an odd collaboration, but hell, the pictures of their studio sessions looks like a good time. Tons of equipment.

The only duo I think does this amazingly with saxaphones, other instruments tables and some sort of drum machine is Helios Jive. I caught a live show from them at Circus Disco in Hollywood earlier this year.

They're bad ass.

anyone remember Lovecraft? They played live with all kinds of instruments and they were unbelievable! I only got a chance to see them 3 times in the early to mid nineties and god did they freakin rocked it. I don't really know how big they were(if they were just local to the Tampa area) but damn those guys were great! I think I have a tape somewhere of these guys, I will take a look tonight.

Actually at the Revolver night at Pawn Shop there were bands playing in the back room. Some of them had laptops going along with, but honestly it was too crammed and too noisy to be able to stand there for more than 5 minutes.
