the only reason i like guiliani and bloomberg (current NYC mayor) is that they dont give a damn, they can speak and convey ideas in a good manner, and in the end they do what it takes to fix something. but in the end, i dont think the american politcal system will be fixed for a long time, not until we get rid of this old guard that has been around since the 80's..... we need term limits on holding office in any manner... we shouldnt have kennedy holding his senatorship this long, and frankly they are so in bed with outside groups it is insane. we need to come out and say ""you will not make more than 100K, you cant accept money from anyone else."" and watch as they all jump ship.

Maybe I got the wrong impression, but his speech at the Repub. national convention in 2004 seemed to be way too steeped in the typical divisive partisan bullshit that keeps much of anything positive from getting done between the 2 parties. Plus he talks funny and reminds me of that pervy uncle who would always try to get the female relatives to sit on his lap...so I don't like him.

My wife is moving there in August to do nursing school at NYU and I'll likely be following a year or so after...so I guess I should probably start paying more attention to what the fuck goes on in the city.
