Thursday, May 25, Switch @ Bar 13 proudly presents an intimate evening with Jay Tripwire (2guerilla / Nordic Trax / Vancouver). A house music legend who hardly needs an introduction, Jay & his evil twin Mr. Barcode have been churning out awesome records on labels like Tango, Doubledown & Leaf for years, and he recently released a full length Mr Barcode LP through Mazi's Gourmet imprint. He has played standout events the world over, including regular stops at Fabric in London & Sullivan Room here in NY, whilst maintaining a residency at Deepen at Vancouver's Lotus Sound Lounge. Jay's DJ style remains firmly rooted in funky, boompty style house music, and we are very excited to hear him let loose some serious dancefloor funk this time around! Jen Lusker (Modmusic) will be plaging with us as well - Jen's a wicked DJ also admired for extreme funkiness. As per usual, Juan Gaviria and I will also be playing.
