Athens Olympic Games 2004 part I ...PLUS TIESTO

Yesterday the majority of the volunteers of the Olympic Games had THE opportunity to take part in the trial of the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games starting this Friday.

It was something unbelievable that I am inviting you to attend at your television at least. A unique show with lights and sounds. A journey through civilizations with a human touch.

During the parade of all participating nations (in total 202) Ti?sto will be performing live. This parade will last around 1 and half hour.
Well I wish it was Digweed instead but it will be certainly something different.

Apart from the ceremony which was unbelievable, the whole olympic complex is astonishing, a real piece of art.

You are all invited to Athens!

I'm not a big Tiesto fan, last I heard him he was layin down epic trance. I hope to see this on tv, to see if he's updated his style at all. If not, I'll have to change the channel

Great info. Definitely looking forward to the games and Greece proving all the naysayers wrong. Looking forward to the Americans getting pushed to the limits in all sports, Greece going for their second championship of the summer in soccer and our Canadian athletes having their best Olympics ever. Tiesto or not, its nice to here that our scene will be showcased worldwide.

the arrogance of the USA basketball team looks like it is again going to be the cause of its own demise. Losing to Italy and needing a buzzer beater to beat Germany.. not a good sign. I'm not a huge fan of the games, I just hope they go off without a hitch, and they get the security issues sorted out.
oh yeah, does the US even have a track and field team? seems as though they are dropping like flies to the "banned substance" testing.
          Are these tests too picky?

Sorry I just think that having these games in Athens is a bad idea. Hope I'm wrong.
Everything will be on tape delay here in the U.S. which also sucks.

i do not think so. it is the olympics. it should be only for the people who are "true" ... granted it is hard to find them. it is a honor to be in the olympics and generally it is held at a high state. i could not see it any other way.

I guess I mean the list of banned substances. I agree it should be kept clean. I just wonder if some cold medicine that may have a banned substance.. is that over the edge?

i think it depends on the person. for me, i think so. i have always viewed the olympics as the best in the world. there is a lot of pride and honor at stake. not only that, it is the world's most amazing athletes. i think if you can not stay off some stuff for 6-12 months you have problems. frankly if you care to cheat and win, well we have "professional" sports for that.

i think a lot of athletes seek any edge they can get. surely it has got a lot more intense because of science, technology and time. they can only test for what they know. you could have millions and pay someone to create some crazy drink advantage that piss's out like cold medicine. do you think that would be fair?

                    not to me.
