You should check out Esbjorn Svensson Trio (EST) - they are amazing on record and even better live : EST are an acoustic trio (piano, bass, drum) that fuse breakbeat drumming with some of the most beautiful music you'll ever hear. It may be from the 60's, but Miles Davis's In a Silent Way is absolutely timeless, and still sounds fresh today.

This release was mastered direct from vinyl at the request of the DJ and as such features natural sound characteristics of this medium such as record surface noise.

Not sure what future jazz is, clicked on first link but did not find any sound samples.

Check out St. Germain. Thats some nice groovy jass with house beats. A little of both really. some break beaty and regular jass sound. Dont know how to explain it but it's smoove!!!
