someone saying art has to be with a paint brush and not a computer is like someone telling me i'm not a musician because i create beats on a computer rather than banging on a drum with a wooden stick.
go for it.
and hell yes i'd buy some of that stuff.
i've even framed a few of my record sleeves. <Art.
I dabble in design a bit myself, and have had discussions with people over this same matter. I'm with palmer and dom, the computer is just a fancy brush. I've always said digital art is just as valueable as "real art," since there is no difference in my mind.
as for your show, I for one would jump at the chance to be able to attend such an event. so, +1 vote from me.
I have been browsing deviantart's prints section for some time now, looking for something to buy, and have found almost too many to choose from. (I would however like to see some more styles available on that site)
Really good job on the posters, too. I wouldn't mind owning one
thanks for all the responses, I really appreciated.
Although I am flattered, all the above posters I posted are not mine, just along the lines of what I think like. They are shepard fairey (obey giant) & russian contructivist posters from alexander rodchenko & el lissitky.
As usual, I'll keep you all posted.
...I love you when you're not masterminding my downfall
