its a great pearl jam record. if you dont like them, you wont like it, but if you liked any album after the first like i did, you shold be all about it. its pure pearl jam.

thought it was probably their best album since no code. They rocked harder than they have in a while.

Unfortunately got this the same day as tool's new one which is supremely better and as always brilliant.

LMAO @ Tool. Sorry, I never understood the hooplah over them after Undertow. Opiate is still by far their best work and Aenima and afterwards were all really just rehashed material. I do remember people on this board also stating tht APC doesn't sound like Tool at all. ROFL

Okay, back on topic, I thought Ten was complete shit. The only two albums that I liked, and still do, are Versus and Vitalogy. After that, I gave up. So how would this rate in comparison to their older material?

the hooplah over them occured after undertow because they continue to put out absolute masterpeices , aenima, lateralus, and to a certain extent 10k days. If your calling lateralus rehashed material, you may need to open your ears a bit more. Lateralus was and will always be *one of the best albums ever made* *ever*

The hooplah over them occured during the touring of Undertow and that's when the drones were in full force to see them during the tours to support that release. I can understand why many people love them so much because those same people listen to the radio and think that somehow there's a good portion of quality music on the airwaves. My ears are quite open and I am always willing to try something "newly released", perhaps even "original", if that's possible, but I really don't hear anything great with APC's Lateralus at all. And yes, I put APC there for a reason, you can't even dispute it. They are one in the same.
