    Cat + butter = anti-gravity question

This is something Johns might be able to answer.

    - When you drop a buttered slice of bread, it will always land with the buttered side down.
    - When you drop a cat, it will always land on its feet.

    ...

What would happen now if you'd tape a buttered slice of bread (butter facing up) to the back af a cat and drop it?

Imo the cat will not rop at all, but hover to a level where the laws of butterology and feline aerodynamics are in equilibrum. But I could be wrong...

its to do with the lack of space between table and floor to allow one full rotation.

however, the hovering concept i like!! - do you think its how they got the delorean to fly in back to the future???

^^^ yup, just like the speeders in the first versions of Star Wars. George Lucas was one of the first to use feline powered anti-gravity fields.
