Right all you bloggers and feed specialists out there, I've got a little question for ya that's been bugging me for days now...
Here's the deal: I've got a Wordpress blog up 'n' running (www.fromyellow.com/wordpress). I finally got the theme and the CSS more or less properly modded to my taste, so I'm all set to get the show on the road.
In the mean time I have a section "Personal News" on the homepage of my website (www.fromyellow.com). The page is plain HTML, so I just erase the old news and put in the new content when I'm doing an update. Not having an archive is one problem. Posting shit in my blog and being forced to post personal news apart from that on the site is a waste of time.
So what I want to do is either have the headlines of the last postings in the blog showing automatically on my personal news section (linking to the posts in the blog) or have the last article in full there. I prefer the first one though since it rules out possible problems with graphics I put in the post on the blog.
I thought using the RSS feed of my blog in combination with a web based app displaying the headlines on my homepage would be the most elegant solution. (or if any of you know a shortcut via PHP, that would be welcome too)
The question at hand is: what RSS aggregator is the best to do this? When I Google for it, I get a shitload of solutions, but I don't have the time not the motivation to test them one by one.
Oh btw, I prefer some sort of plugin or something independant over an online third party service.
