I never knew the difference a REAL soundcard can make....WTF. I just installed my new Terratec Producer Phase 22 and the sound quality is absolutely fabulous!!! Gonna try and bang a bit (the bass is incredibly full now, compared to my onboard Realtek pantsy soundcard), I just hope I won't wake up my neighbours
lol i onces thought the sound from my sound blaster was classy then i bought a delta audiophile 24/96, there was absolutely no comparasson with the sound, the good thing about ur terratec is the fact that the signal is immune to noise from other electrical sources due to the breakout box...have fun playing around with the sample rate and bit depth, the first thing that should grab u is the increased dynamics, its all to do with the anologue to digital converters thats what u are basically paying the money for.
edit: wooooops wrong card, i was talking about
when i should of been talking about ......
Yeah, the bottom one is in my pc right now. Great sound, and it allows me to start fooling around with Ableton too...hopefully I can some mixes out that way until i buy some CD-decks at least. Tomorrow I'll play with it some more, see what I can do with it
"Son," he said without preamble, "never trust a man who doesn't drink because he's probably a self-righteous sort, a man who thinks he knows right from wrong all the time. Some of them are good men, but in the name of goodness, they cause most of the suffering in the world. They're the judges, the meddlers. And, son, never trust a man who drinks but refuses to get drunk. They're usually afraid of something deep down inside, either that they're a coward or a fool or mean and violent. You can't trust a man who's afraid of himself. But sometimes, son, you can trust a man who occasionally kneels before a toilet. The chances are that he is learning something about humility and his natural human foolishness, about how to survive himself. It's damned hard for a man to take himself too seriously when he's heaving his guts into a dirty toilet bowl."
