'Fatalist' has nothing to do with 'Fate' sheepfucker.

Your 'doom and gloom' and 'you don't count' attitude and 'the hackers are going to fuck it up anyway' and 'what you think is real isn't really real,' 'how far does the rabbit hole go?' 'THIS WORLD IS A COMPUTER PROGRAM, THE MACHINES ARE WINNING!!' ...is what i was talking about. "I'm not voting because the choices i have to pick from suck." Boo Hoo.

Yes, they both suck. I'll be picking the lesser of two evils in my own mind...and moreover casting my vote in the democratic process because my fore fathers died giving me the right to do so. Wether my vote counts or not is irrevelant to me. I vote and participate out of respect for those who died giving me whatever letigimate or perceived rights i have.

In a world where so many people don't even have a choice, aren't allowed to voice an opinion, aren't allowed to spew nonsense on a message board about whatever pops in their head, i find it disgusting people just choose to be lazy, choose not to participate or just choose not give a fuck, despite wether giving a fuck makes a difference.

Maybe I should buy you a dictionary then.

      fa?tal?ism ( P ) Pronunciation Key (ftl-zm)
      n.
      1. The doctrine that all events are predetermined by fate and are therefore unalterable.
      2. Acceptance of the belief that all events are predetermined and inevitable.

      fatalist

\Fa"tal*ist\, n. [Cf. F. fataliste.] One who maintains that all things happen by inevitable necessity.

Being a fatalist means exactly what you said it didn't. It means you believe in fate and all that crap.

Go ahead vote, its not like I would give you a hard time for voting, I dont see why me not voting effects you in the slightest. Get over it.:P

People who don't vote suck imo. (and yes, i'm aware that means the majority of Americans suck, what was our turnout last election, a third of the population?) sigh. :?

Not caring and not voting means you don't give a shit about the hundreds of thousands of people who have died for our country so you can sit behind your computer and read the dictionary.

Why don't you just go to Arlington National Cemetary and take a huge dump on everyone's grave?

Damn. I should have thought about it while I was there.

Sorry, but I think people that vote suck. Especially when most people don't want one of the two major party candidates, but refuse to vote for a third party because it would be a waste of a vote. Of course its a waste because everyone thinks its a waste, if everyone just went out and voted for the one they wanted, then maybe a third party will win. Until then, I won't vote.

Most American's shouldn't vote any way, because the common American is stupid and would probably just vote on looks or something. Even that 1/3 that your talking about probably voted out of thin air. Most don't pay attention to the issues, they see a movie like Fahrenheit 9/11 and suddenly they have it all figured out. I know countless people that saw the movie, and decided then and there to vote for Kerry. No reason, just that they hate War, and the movie showed them the light.

I don't know what you hope to accomplish in this argument, but I can assure you that nothing will make me vote for one of these two candidates. So there is no point in voting. Or maybe I should just suck it up and vote for nader Perhaps when 2008 rolls around, I will have someone I actually care for, and would vote for.

                you missed the point completely.

i get what you're saying, and i even agree with a lot of what you're saying, you're not getting what i'm saying.

and i'm not trying to gain anything from arguing with you, just arguing for the hell of it.

People have laid thier life on the line for you to have the right to vote. People across this planet have died in many battles so you can go vote. I understand it is also your right not to vote. I just find it disrespectful to shit on democracy because you don't like the candidtates. Go vote for Nader, go write yourself in for fucks sake, but get off your lazy ass and take 30 minutes out of your day and go make your fucking mark you asshole!!!

I see your point there Jenks, and normally I would agree with you. Except, I haven't been old enough to vote except for Bush in 2000, and now in 2004. At least then, I was almost sure Bush was the lesser of the two evils.

This year, I just can't justify voting. Its as simple as that. Will it please you to know that I will and do vote for almost everything else, just not the presidential election, this year. I did vote for Medical Marijuana legalization in Colorado and it passed. From what I can tell, it doesn't do a bit of good being overwritten by the National laws, but its still there. I do feel like I accomplished something with it. And I will probably be voting for Coors too, oh ya.
