When he was playing at the Guv he was scratching live...no loops for that part. And he isn't trance, he is tech and trance so tech-trance I guess you could say. I think he is worth at least checking out, but that is me
so your telling me as a trancehead that i could of got away with more

thats just brought a smile to my face lol

on a serious note though i was brought up with a serious UK dance music snobbery, the scene over here was much different to what u may be used to in canada, it was a case if u wern't listening to the right stuff then u were a complete "jackass", this is something thats been grilled into me for many years and is hard to shake with my old age lol, i do try sometimes but i can be too stuck in my own ways karen ( i hope its ok to call u by ur name ), i seriously dont meen to upset anyone but sometimes i can go a bit far lol, if i,m honest i just cant stand comercialism but i guess its just become a certain part of todays dance scene, argh i,m seriously too old school nut trying to change lmao, anyway i should bugger off for a bit as i,m trying to arrange stuff for this years love parade......so....i,ll get back too you on the halliwel note

respect

I´m a bit of a snob too, this was a case in which I believe the interview was way more interesting than the DJ will ever be TO ME, but all respect to him if he´s working that hard, he´s sweating it out out there for what he likes to do.

But the fact is that old age hasn´t made me intolerant I guess I just gained a sense of healthy cinicysm (is that right?), honestly I now l live by Oscar Wilde´s rule "I just like what is good"´, I´ve even done a straight ahead prog/trance mix a couple of days ago, so I can sometimes definitely get into it (in small doses)...but scratching, no thank you!

your exactly the same age as me but from a different country so i dont know what the scene was like in portugal @ that time ( nice place btw i,ve been in faro, lisboa and also porto ) but over here i guess it was mainly driven by peer pressure and when your a little younger i guess as a kid growing up to face the real world this is a thing thats vital to your growing up, i like your way of thinking when u said " i just like what is good" i guess its just another way of saying "each to there own" but the problem is that sometimes that whats "good" and "own" cross paths and there is uaually some sort of debate which in my eyes is healthy as it opens your eyes to new things if your willing to explore them. I've always been a huge fan of scratching but thats my own opinion and it doesnt go with every style but when done correctly and tastefully it can be something that is just delightfull, it SERIOUSLY has to be done correctly though
