I won't be back until next Tuesday, so if Get Carter is the correct answer, I would appreciate of someone else posts a new cap for me

I would like to meet him in real life. I bet his voice has that echo to it naturally.

pete tong and his stinky dong, you still have to respect him hugely for having the label that released Dmob - we call it acieed, timeless classic, i love him for that alone lol

Dance music as we know it owes more to Pete Tong than pretty much anyone i can think of, Along with Mixmag Update, The Essential Selection on friday nights during the 90's was pretty much the blueprint for what's going to be. The essential new tune was a guaranteed blinder every week and the buzz chart, and then he brought us the Essential Mix, before that the only way you could get a recording of your fav DJ's sets would be bootleg tapes from your local independent record shop, then suddenly each week we got a free 2 hour set from a top DJ. Sadly things have gone downhill considerably since then, mainly due to the commercialisation of dance music in general. And lets not forget FFRR, some of dance musics finest moments have been spawned from there. Tong is a legend.

Praise for somebody else than...? [bites lips not to say the DJ name that causes Havoc like nothing else]

                  Disciple of Tong imo.

But you are right, he still deserves respect for beeing a pioneer.

                  Palmer still sucks though.

he was a pioneer, but i don't perrsonal like what he plays.

he different strokes, for different folks.

and if palmer likes to stroke to tongy, thats ok with me!

Tongy's not too bad - his "Pure Pacha" nights on Fridays are very well run - Diggers was there last year and and Sasha made his Renaissance return on Tongs night in 2003. Pete has a lighter more commercial taste - but sometimes that's not a bad thing after you've listened to 5+ hours of something far darker beforehand. His 4.00 - 7.00 a.m. slot provides a bit of light relief.

This release was mastered direct from vinyl at the request of the DJ and as such features natural sound characteristics of this medium such as record surface noise.
