    My Austrailian Vacation

I thought I would share a few pictures of my recent trip to Australia. Australia was a beautiful country and I could easily see myself living there. The gold coast area was beautiful and easily tops florida for an ideal area to live at.

I flew into Brisbane then traveled an hour north to an area called the gold coast. Our first week was spent on Buleigh Heads Beach near Surfers paradise....

    Our view from our room.....

another shot looking towards surfers paradise....

    surfers paradise

a rainbow from our hotel room at the gold coast....

a short drive from the gold coast is hinterland which consists of several gorgeous natioanal parks which consist of rainforests and beautiful views....

    a few shots from hinterland

    the best lookout at hinterland

    an ancient tree

    cascade falls

foget the name of this one but this was taken inside of a cave.

next we flew to Adelaide...which has the barossa valley which is where alot of the australian wine is made.....

    view of the many vineyards

after a wine tasting tour it was off to sydney to finish the holiday....

    beautiful sydney

    sydney opera house....

    sydney harbor bridge...

it was a wonderful trip...unfortunatly i only got to hit a few clubs....sugar in adelade and home in sydney....but overall had an incredible time. Australia is a beautiful country and I cant wait to go back.

Nice one Charlie. Had no idea you were heading overseas. Guess you have an excuse for only hitting WMC for a couple of days!

                    Re: My Austrailian Vacation

Yeah, we're blessed here to be honest! We're geographically the size of the US, but with less than 10% of the population - there's tonnes to see, and don't forget our neighbours across the pond - New Zealand... a fantastic country and radically different to Australia, but with people just as friendly.

For serious music-heads it's really about Sydney and Melbourne, but don't discount Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane if you can find a quality event to go to - the crowds are much less fickle and really up for it.

Any [ms]'er who wants a personal club guide in Sydney should definitely drop me a private message... I think it's safe to say I'd be able to guide you in the right direction!

One absolute MUST in Sydney, regardless of the length of your stay, is to book a climb up the Harbour Bridge. It takes about 3 hours round-trip and can be done from dusk til dawn ...cost is about US$150-200, but I guarentee it'll be worth it.

We love visitors - so skip your Christmas winter, and come say g'day to warm-up your down under bits Aussie style!

(PS: for those thinking of making a more lengthy move, the job market is really solid here and pay is quite good. It's easy to transfer and recognise US or British skills and qualifications. Heaps of opportunities to study as well... our higher education system is very good and well respected. Drop me a PM if you need any guidance in that area too!)

Yeah I made a big mistake in not trying to contact you....i was only in sydney from wed to friday though....but i am sure you could of still led me in the right direction...bcuz i certaintly didnt find the rite areas 4 quality clubs....

wednesday hung out in the pubs near the rocks...which was pretty kool...big rugby game was on.

thursday checked out king cross and then oxford street....wasnt impressed at all with that....

and finally friday discovered the cocker bay wharf area which was kool but had to make the 14 hr flight the next morning so had to be somewhat low key...
