no i hate him ever since he showed up at my uncles firehouse after 9/11 and was asking a 9 year old kid who lost his father about whether or not he thought it was right we went to war. in the middle of a memorial service this fat fuck shows up with two cameras and starts muddling around and had widows crying, asking young children political questions and in general being a cunt. he could have chosen a better time, but he had to go for shock value.

Defamation is a nasty thing. I think we can all agree that this happens a lot and no one seems to do anything about it.

I like the fact that Moore acts as opposition.
I don't like the fact that he uses the same tactics as his opposition. Definitely not the high road.

I wonder if he'd be willing to donate half of that $85,000,000 to stem cell research. Or if he'll squander it all as retribution for his lost limbs.

85 mill is kind of high for starters, but editing what the guy said is kind of wrong and does make him look like a complete different person in terms of his views.

Personally, I cant stand MM simply for the fact that he only shine negative views and never positive ones. Always trying to blame and point fingers and never doing anything to help the situation. People like him make our counrty worse and not better.

Lets use facts and try to find solutions instead of trying to make money on pointing the finger. Also, the guy needs to get on a diet and a new pair of clothes.

I would take a gander that Moore was showing this to illustrate how mangled and in need of permanant assisted living some of our soldiers coming back home are.... For the rest of his life he will have no arms, and the care that the gov't with the taxpayers money are actually going to help him with isn't budgeted enough to provide the adequate level of assistance he'll need, thus leaving him behind.

The wording of the charges sound like they are painfully reaching to link this movie to his problems from his arms being blown off at war and the lifelong trauma that comes with it by

by editing footage making it appear that armless had

"voiced a complaint about the war effort"

by saying he feels like he is

"being crushed in a vise"

immediately after

"You know, they say they're not leaving any veterans behind, but they're leaving all kinds of veterans behind"

Sgt Damon maintains he was complaining about

"the excruciating type of pain"

having just had his arms blown off when a helicopter tire exploded

"while he and a colleague were servicing the aircraft on the ground in Iraq"

the other guy is dead so he can't talk, but armless guy says he

"agrees with and supports the President and the United States' war effort, and he was not left behind"

but Michael Moore caused his

"loss of reputation, emotional distress, embarrassment, and personal humiliation"

by editing footage making it appear that armless had

I am not certain if it's a separate charge for simply using the footage without his consent or not, but I believe he has no rights to that footage, NBC does and I highly doubt that Miramax didn't make sure to secure the rights from them... so then...I'd like to know how anyone could be convinced to think that when asked the questions..

"do you feel left behind?" or "how does it feel being left behind?"

that anyone would answer with...

"being crushed in a vise"

furthermore, if it turns out the footage of him is licensed properly, in this day and age we live in where the news, reality-tv, and the government itself have been creatively editing for years now to tell stories and illustrate points more effectively, what kind of precedent has been set on rulings about this type of thing in the past?

moore doesnt, he will walk away without any damages. the soldier really has no base for a lawsuit from what i can see, but toasty and ruby know better than i do.

but this could push for a new definition of public figure. even if the news agency has rights to the film, there may not be a ""pass along"" clause. anyone deemed a public figure cannot sue for unpermitted coverage unless its slander/libel. this soldier probably isnt considered a public figure so his lawyers think they can push for it. but i dont think so, under the eyes of the law, right now, they will probably interpret him as to be a public figure once he hit the news

but any trouble for fat boy makes me happy after i witnessed his vile acts to people in a weak moment

I saw a documentry about Iraqi War veterans called "Purple Hearts."

Every single one of them said the worst part about being injuried and back at home with limited capacity and usually no job was that they wanted to still be over there, fighting with their unit. One of the parents of these poor kids made the point that the military does a great job of training them to be soldiers, killer machines, used to the hard realities of the battle field, but does nothing to deprogram them back to normal society.

They are indeed left behind, chewed up and spit out by the system, left with a killer instince, but nobody to kill. I'm amazed and proud of my peer's dedication to their country and their duity, and in disbelief at the calous disregard our government has shown for them.

What ever happened to Vets deserving the best? Oh yeah, that was just bullshit lip service, they're good at that.
