Omid16B lives for music. A true talent on the underground scene, cutting edge dance music is like oxygen for Omid Nourizadeh. A DJ, producer and label owner of Alola, Disclosure and Sexonwax Records, he?s spreading his passion worldwide - from the UK to the USA, from Europe to Asia and Australia.
Fans range from Sasha to Tenaglia, Fran?ois K to Morales and from Digweed to Danny Howells. Equally important to Omid are his fans on the dance floor. And he turns them on with superb sets that twist and turn from sexy tribal house through to dark, emotive techno - each set morphing to bring out the best in the crowd.
Of Persian roots, Omid?s family immigrated to London when he was just one-year-old. His artistic flair and musical ear developed at an early age - as did his ambition. Influenced by Hendrix, The Cure, Depeche Mode and The Mission, he started playing the guitar at 14, learned how to play drums and bass guitar at 15 and formed his own band when he was 17. Already Omid?s tastes were becoming ?more dance than rock, more loops than words, less songs more toons?.
Omid laid the foundations for his own career path and set up Alola Records in 1994. Under his O.R.N moniker, his stunning ?Snow? track was picked up by BMG Deconstruction and Omid?s production talents were snapped up by Eye Q, signing his debut album ?Sounds From Another Room? (198
. This album was met with critical acclaim and spawned the hit single ?Water Ride?. Another album followed as $16 Million Dollar Man on Under The Counter before ?How To Live 100 Years? in 2002 on the respected Hooj Choons label and not to forget a mix compilation for his own label Alola ?Everything all of them every year? The singles came thick and fast (see discography) - but quality has always been the name of the game. To date, Omid has remixed great artists from The Cure, Gus Gus, John Creamer and Danny Howells to Halo Varga, Morel, Fran?ois Kervorkian and Pete Moss. But once again it?s Omid?s skills that come to the force.

Having produced and remixed for many labels, he is also the front man of his band ?The Idiots? who have released several singles on Sexonwax and have remixed for other labels as Renaissance and artists as Danny Howells.
This year he got busy getting creative with The End?s Mr C, mixed the first in a series cover mount CD ?give a way?s? for DJ magazine, called ?Face Off?, and released ?That Look? on Sexonwax, with vocals by Mr.C
As a co-operation between his label Sexonwax and Deeper Substance records, a new name in the club scene is born: SOS (SexonSubstance). A concept for good and quality music, together with friends Demi and Desyn Masiello they are conquering the world, starting with their London boat parties and Ibiza residencies.
Further for 2006 there is a 3 hour SOS - Essential Mix on BBC radio 1 scheduled for March the 25th and 26th, followed by an SOS mix compilation for the Ministry of Sound?s Sessions series (summer 2006) and putting the finishing touches on his third artist album? all in 2006.
The dance scene wouldn?t be what it is today without the commitment and passion of people like Omid16B. Whether it?s creating dance floor destroyers or rocking each and every party, Omid16B is the heart and soul of the underground.

Name: Erik Molthe
balErik (Erik Molthe) is based in Oslo, Norway. He started djing late 2000. His vinyl collection rapidly started to grow and about 8 months later he got his first warm-up gig at Oslo's leading progressive house night, "Odyssey" Where balErik played his trademark sexy, deep, funky house & techno music. In 2003, balErik started a monthly club night in Oslo, with occational other one off parties being thrown in other Norwegian cities, "Dirty grooves" (www.dirtygrooves.com). The night has been a great success and got nominated for best clubnight in a Norwegian online clubbing magazine same year. The year after he also got into promoting another clubnight called Timeslip also a monthly night based in Oslo. The main ideas with both club nights are happy vibes and amazing house music. This night has recently celebrated its second birthday and is still going strong.

He has has played together with Rowan Blades, Luke Fair, Seaumus Haji, Chris Fortier, Yousef, Kingkade, Greg Vickers, Ricky Ryan, Rollo, Jeff Bennett, Nick DK, Tom Morgan, Nils Noa, Omid 16B, Desyn Masiello and Inkfish, to name a few known names. Some of balEriks favorite djs and influences are Danny Howells, Rollo (Israel), Luke Fair, Desyn Masiello & Rowan Blades. Recently he also got into re-editing which is a small start of getting into producing. Some of his edits have been played by Deep Dish, Sander Kleinenberg, John Digweed, Nic Fanciulli, Demi, Max Graham and Behrouz. Aswell he just got asked to work as A+R scout for the infamous Alternative route record label from the UK, where its his job to find the unsigned diamonds for the future. which also opens more possibilities to work on original material for him in the future. He has played all over Oslo at all the main venue's and also last year has seen him started travelling abroad for gigs at Turnmills in London, San Fransisco USA, Schezchin in Poland, Sofia in Bulgaria, Riga in Latvia, Stockholm in Sweden. In his spare time he is constantly looking for hot tunes, making contacts and trying to promote himself in the best possible way. Keep an eye out for balErik and his dirty grooves in the future.
