I got pics and video. But I will upload them in the morning. I need to smoke this nice phat joint and just close my eyes and replay the amazingness in my head.Comment

beautiful read.....rather than rebuild the towers around the memorial plaza, they should not even considering rebuilding any towers there.....but i guess you can put dollar signs on the value of human life.....Many people would sooner die than think; In fact, they do so.

Jeepers, i suppose untill he wrote his story down he too didn`t realy know what was going on at the time. It must have been one very strange situation to be in. I remember watching the whole thing unfold on tv sat in one of my customers office completely open mouthed, i just couldn`t take me eyses off what was going on, very sad indeed.
Good read man.Comment

It doesn't matter how many times I read stories like that, I always feel this heaviness on my heart. I just relived that day- but this time through the eyes of someone who was actually there. I remember watching a 20/20 special about one of the fire precincts. They were filming for a show during the time of 9/11 so they caught a lot on tape...it was very earie to watch. I was stuck in NYC during the blackout last august and the first thing I thought was terrorism. It was very scary...just like with 9/11, people were walking over the bridges to get home. Luckily, it was just a blackout and we paid a cab driver $100 to get out of NYC..money well spent!~Pam

Very good read.
The thing that still shocks me the most, is the image of the firefighters walking up those stairs. Trying to get to the fires, helping the injuried, carrying the scubas, the axes, the med kits... Walking up while everyone tries to walk down.
Trancelucent, I think that company was Rescue 1, they were called to a nearby school because of a gas leak and were right there when the first plane hit the tower.Comment

Re: Personal Account of 9/11
Given then date, I just searched for [ms] for "WTC", couldn't recall if [ms] existed back then and was curious if anyone had posted that day. I did come across this post, 8 years after 9/11 and 5 years after it was posted. Glad I found it and got to read it, but damn, still cuts deep.
Wasn't there an older version of Mercruy Server around back then? Are there backlogs anywhere back to 2001? I'd be curious to read through what everyone was posting that day. It's never too late to become the person you always thought you would be.Comment
