LMFAO @ the two of you. Get over it, Kinky and just admit that you have poor taste in "girls". What a beast.

                  Re: Carpal tunnel?

i have this problem fro years now...
and just got a new job 3 weeks ago, again on computer,
with some lame mouse and keyboard, few days later it appeared
again, but this time totally painfull.

i was at my doctor, and he said that i am too young to have a carpal syndrom... hellooo

it helps to immobilize your hand in the afternoon for few hours,
so it cant move so much, but it is a shit of a state, and if you are building a career
in the IT department, sucks, big time.

and i can say that logitech has few mices which really help with this condition.
i had at home for 4 years i thnik the mouseman pilot+ or similar, now i think it is something like the

and u need to have as flat as you can get keyboard, sometimes those angled ones are cool too. and of yourse never rest your palms on the desk or keyboard palm rest pad, but in the air over keyboard.

                  hope this helps a litlle
posture definitely doesnt go with carpal sy.,
I take Viagra and Prozac together. If I can't get it up, I don't care.

I have one of those G7 mice from Logitech. Got it for $18, was a great deal and my keyboard is 0 degrees. I don't have carpal tunnel though so I consider myself lucky with the massive amount of typing that I do. I was taught proper technique with regards to hand, wrist and elbow placement when typing at an early age. Long live the fundamentals.

                      Re: Carpal tunnel?

I mispoke because I figured people know about carpal tunnel and not RSI, I have RSI in both hands from using a desktop pc. I think it happened from relying on armests too much, was originally a cubital tunnel issue (tunnel in elbow where nerves compress). I use WorkRave (software to remind you to break) and a WACOM tablet instead of a mouse. Have been too disappointed with Voice Recognition to use. I'm still waiting for the breakthrough in mind-to-pc user interface, there is some interesting research going on... or easier arm replacement surgery. Anyone got some good arms to sell?

A few other things I've found helpful, foam rollers to stretch arms and all over -

                        kneeling chairs:

and of course electric massagers (not for your balls).

thats nice, and that G/ is awesome, but here it is around 100Euros, so definitely a great deal for you.

and of course, proper techniques, didnt have that here for ages now....

Those kneechairs are pretty shite when you have to sit on them for a long time. I had one and got rid of it after my back started to hurt like a mofo from sitting on it...

^^ Yeah. You have to keep your back very straight while on those chairs, otherwise you feel the "burrrrrnnn" early on. Good luck keeping proper posture on one of those allllll day looooonnng.
