HAHA well there were brick walls around houses that collapsed so think what you will. My brother lost his house, wasn't cause of the canal but his entire roof blew off and some windows exploded. He lost everything inside except what he had moved prior.

Glad to say we relocated to Sarasota and I'm enjoying the internet again. I was over by UCF when the storm hit and we were still without power, I just got sick of hangin out in the hot apt. with no decent food or drink. My beer finally ran out of ice.

It's 7:45pm Sunday night and we're still without power. We drove over to our apartment a little earlier and cleared out the refrigerator of practically everything (2 large garbage bags full). Sucks that my parents only have dial-up but a big thanks to Mel across the street for a having a nice wireless setup so I can surf high speed!!!

yeah it just missed naples (where i was for the weekend), and hit north of me, but on my drive back to tampa, it was crazy shit..........houses just totalled and the exit signs on I75 were ripped out and the big metal streetlights were bent in half.......crazy shit......:?

anyone know if the power is back on near UCF - Orlando? I heard Ft. Myers mostly has power now and I'm thinking about driving back to my apartment tonight. Tryin to determine how much ice i'll need.

I have a friend who lives on Dean and he got power back last night. We were lucky in Ocoee it was supposed to come right through here then went east. I never lost power except during the storm 3 times but only for not more than 5 minutes. I'm buying stock in DirectTV. It went out only a couple of times for only a few minutes even during the peak.

THANK GOD I FINALLY GOT MY INTERNET!! Alright well we were fortunate enough to keep our power but we've been without cable and internet...which sucks!! We were lucky enough not to lose anything and our neighborhood was safe. My friend who lives my UCF is still out of power and they're not expected to get it until friday. I'm just happy no one was seriously hurt. My family got hit hard too but they were safe as well! Glad to be back!

oh yeah, i forgot to post pics of my moms house.
they're not that good, but you can see the tree line has been reduced by like 10 feet in the back yard. and there's a tree sitting on her next door neighbors work van.
