Re: This is what I'm getting in september
lol, IF you can afford it. Maybe later on when it has made me some money I can up it to 4 gigs, but I'll have to settle for 2 in the beginning. Nevertheless it should be fast as hell to begin with, and got my eye on a Dual core AMD 64 4000+ with 2 gigs of L2 cache...no more stalling ever!!!
wait, lemme post what I've been looking at right now - keep in mind that I have a 1300 dollar limit and need to keep some moving space because of the fluctuating exchange rates:
AMD Athlon? 64 X2 4000+ (Boxed, OPGA, "Windsor")
MSI K9N Neo-F nF5 (Retail, Sound, Gb-LAN, RAID)
G.E.I.L. DIMM 2 GB (GX22GB5300LDC - 533)
Arctic-Cooling Silentium T5
Club3D GeForce 7600GS
2X 160 Gig Seagate Barracuda (ST3160812AS, S-ATA2, NCQ)
Total (SATA HDD/Arctic): 939 euro > 1205 dollar
I think I will opt for a little faster memory though, and I chose the vid card based on processor and mem speed (500mHz and 900mHz), has 12 pixel pipelines. The other peripherals are here already, so no need to buy those new
